how to install and activate the gyro sensor

Before going into the discussion on how to install and activate the gyroscope sensor on a smartphone, it’s good to briefly know what a gyroscope is. Basically the Gyroscope has been in use for a long time and has been used in various fields; invented by a man named Leon Foucault in 1852. This tool was first used in an experiment involving the rotation of the earth.

Gyro tools have an important role in the world of aviation, which are used to measure and maintain the orientation of the movement axes, namely the x, y, and z axes. Early gyroscopes consisted of a circular gyroscope frame which was the outermost part of the gyro. There is a spin Axis with a stick shape in the middle of the rotor, the rotor is in the form of a disc, there are 2 gimbals that cross each other.

Mechanically, the gyroscope has the shape of a disc or a wheel that can rotate freely on the shaft, namely the gimbal-rotor. In this section, the orientation taking is obtained independently and the orientation angle values are obtained which are related to the high rate of rotation and moment of inertia.

In today’s era that has utilized various technologies, the gyroscope has been in the form of a kind of software that is combined with a sensor to get the orientation value. One of them is on an Android smartphone. However, the gyro sensor will not really work without the accelerometer. If the gyro is used to measure orientation, then the accelero serves to measure the vibration and acceleration caused by gravity.

On Android, Gyro is often used in several applications, but is more dominant in game applications, especially war games, or shooting games, for example, games with the FPS genre.

In order for the gyro sensor to work on Android, the first thing that must be done is to carry out the sensor installation process on an Android smartphone device. But before that, make sure that the Android device used already supports gyro installation, because there are several versions of Android that the installation process cannot do.
